St. Patrick Day Parades

Moate’s parade will be led by Moate Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, featuring over 60 talented musicians playing traditional Irish music. 

As they make their way through the town, the group will pause at the viewing stand to deliver a performance. The parade itself starts at 1:30 PM, the festivities will kick off at 12:30 PM with a special performance from Castledaly GAA Club, offering a taste of high-quality traditional music before the main event.  See here for more details
 

Athlone St. Patrick’s Day Parade on the banks of the River Shannon, is a colorful and lively event, with floats, street performers, and marching bands that reflect the diverse cultural heritage of the town. Athlone’s parade will take place at 12.30pm on St Patrick’s day, following a route from the gate of Custume Barracks on Magazine Road to Golden Island.  The section along John Broderick street will be a sensory friendly area, with all participants marching quietly through this section.
The 5 day festival offers a mix of traditional and modern elements, with something for everyone. 
 

Delvin St Patrick's Day Parade will be a day early on Sunday the 15th March and will start at 3 PM
Its promised to bring vibrant floats, lively music, and spirited dancers filling the streets with craic agus ceoil.

Loughnavalley St. Patrick's Day parade is on the 17th March and starts at 4.00 pm with vintage cars, lorries and motorbikes and a barbeque in Fox's pub.

Castlepollard parade is on 17th March at 4.45pm and this years theme is entertainment.
Come celebrate with a day full of fun, laughter, and community spirit! Enjoy bouncing castles for the kids, colourful face painting, and plenty of craic agus ceoil (fun and music) for everyone to enjoy.

Kinnegad is having it first St. Patrick's Day parade in decaedes.  The parade is on Sunday the 15th March from 3pm to 4 pm.  There will also be street entertainment, bouncy castles and and live music.  They hope to start a new tradition for generations to come.  See here for more details.
