Celebrate love, inclusion, and community spirit at the Winter Pride Party, part of the Heartlands Pride Festival 2025. This year’s unmissable celebration takes place from Friday, 7th November to the 14th November.
A vibrant expression of diversity, acceptance, and connection, with dazzling performances, live DJs, and an atmosphere bursting with positivity and sparkle. It’s the perfect opportunity to reconnect with friends, meet new faces, and dance the night away in one of Athlone’s most beloved venues.
On the 7th of November, the Heartlands Pride Community Exhibition will open at Luan Gallery in Athlone. This exhibition will feature artwork from LGBTQIA+ artists based in the Midlands and beyond, which is not to be missed. The exhibition will run until the 16th of November. Open daily Tues-Sat from 11-5 and 12-5pm on Sunday.
Also on the 7th of November will be the official Winter Pride Party in the Piano Bar, line up includes: The Haus of Kwen, Annie Naggins, Rachael Chrome, Robyn Attention, Hayley Benson and Miss Memphis Shell as MC. There will also be the annual pride breakfast in Gerties from 11am
The Nightmare Before Christmas Market will take place in Dead Centre from 1pm to 5pm.
From 5pm onwards there will be casual cocktails in Dead centre.
On the 9th of November at 1pm there will be a spoken word event at Athlone Book Store, refreshments provided. There will be music provided by Liadh, Ciara Lawless and Darren O'Hara, as well as poetry and prose recited by local creatives - supported by Westmeath Arts office at 3:30pm There will be a panel discussion with Trans Healthcare action, please message us for the location.
