Dún na Sí Amenity & Heritage Park

Celebrate Wild Child Day at Dún na Sí, exploring the park’s magical fairy lake. The lake is actually a turlough, a special kind of vanishing lake, that will be (mostly) dry on the day. Learn about the bugs and wildflowers that live and thrive in this unique habitat. See them up close with the help of nets, hand lenses and bug jars.

Bring/wear: wellies, clothing suitable for the weather, and any bug jars or magnifying glasses you may have.

Getting there: Meet outside the café in the amenity park. Parking is €2 for the day or you can come by bicycle on the Old Rail Trail greenway.
