Lough Ree (East) Caravan & Camping
Set on 5 acres of wonderful countryside, directly on the shore of Lough Ree East and conveniently located 3 miles from Athlone town. Here visitors can enjoy the many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants.
With its own jetty and boat slip it is ideal for fishing, canoeing, windsurfing, sailing or simply to watch the stunning sunsets over the lake. The site also borders a 500m stretch of the Breensford Trout River.
On site, there is a recreation room with pool table and darts board, a basic campers kitchen and the Dog & Duck pub is located within a 2 min walk.
A great base for touring the midlands, taking daily cruises on the River Shannon, visiting the famous monastic site on Clonmacnoise, taking scenic walks along the lake or just enjoying the peace and tranquillity of its beautiful setting. It is also a perfect location from which to take day trips to almost any part of the country.
